One way we do it is to connect directly to other major Internet service providers at the PBNAP, MAE West, MAE East (The Largest Internet Backbone), and Chicago AADS public exchange points. These peering arrangements keep your data flowing directly to your customers with a minimum of hops and latency.

That's why we're not waiting for our customers to use up all our network bandwidth before we go out and build some more. Our business is built to stay well ahead of demand, so that our network capacity always exceeds utilization and our service always exceeds our customers' expectations.
	Reliability
Because we view Internet connectivity as the basic oxygen of 21st century business, much like power and water, we've designed our network to keep operating no matter what. A web site is useless if none of your customers can get to it. Computers fail, hard drives fail, connections fail. We realize that even by using the most reliable equipment we can buy (Sun Microsystems Sparc, and Compaq servers), equipment can and does fail. At our Network Operations Center, our engineers, monitor the equipment 24 hours a day. Tape backups are made nightly, and should a hard drive fail, it can be replaced, your data restored, and your site backed up, in a matter of minutes. Here's what it means to you: QTech Technologies guarantees that if your server is unreachable because of an error originating in the QTech Network and lasting longer than 13 minutes, QTech will credit an amount equal to one week's hosting to your next bill. If you experience such a service degradation three times in any 30-day period, you'll get an entire month of service, free. If you ever receive two consecutive free months under this guarantee, you can cancel your contract and walk away. The 13 minutes window will allow for server rebooting, a part of normal server maintenance. Our confidence is based on our redundant network design. Same with our servers: fully redundant. Every data center on our backbone network sends traffic onto the Internet through two SONET ring connections, each going to two different exchange points. That's redundancy twice over.
